An Introduction

I hesitate to call this a blog because:

1) There are millions upon millions of blogs out there, and 99% of them never actually say anything important. And I like to be different.

2) I will not be talking about my daily life, politics, my trips to the local WalMart, or my angst at not finding that can of beans I so desired. This website is dedicated to one topic alone.

So, what is this topic? What could I have to say that might possibly interest you, oh great traveler of the internet? For starters, I need to establish that I will be writing under a pseudonym. I have literally received death threats for my views on this topic, and quite frankly, I don’t want to be tracked down by hordes of smelly lunatics with pitchforks and torches. One time is too many for me.

Let’s see… What could I call myself? I want something that suits my real personality, so I need something exotic, mysterious, and just a little sexy.

I’ve got it. Antonio Troy. I can’t imagine a better name ever existing in the history of mankind.

So, with that out of the way, I’ll give you a little background on myself. I’m a pretty average college kid from the midwest; good grades, good social life, and ultimately laid back. However, there’s one thing that sets me apart from 99% of my peers. You probably guessed it by now.

I hate babies.

More specifically, I hate the idea of having children. I’ve known since I was two years old that kids weren’t for me. I like the idea of driving a fast Italian car, spending all my money on myself and my wife, and more importantly, never having to use baby talk in my entire life. Some call me selfish, but I would only be lying to myself if I wasn’t open about what is important to me. I really like money, and I'd much rather have a fat bank account than a fat little poopzombie.

For whatever reason, society doesn’t seem to like the people who don‘t want to have children. Our entire culture is saturated in pro-baby propaganda. Watch any TV show or commercial, and you’ll see glaring assumptions that people are expected to reproduce, and that there’s something wrong with not loving babies.

This website is a collection of my observations on what it’s like living as a baby hater in a baby loving world. For others who hate the idea of having children, I hope this website serves as a source of hope, inspiration, and hopefully humor, because you aren’t alone. For those who actually want kids and still read these pages, I just hope that I can open your eyes to a different perspective.

Or, you could just track me down and light my house on fire. Again.

Antonio Troy wants your mail. Even hate mail. thebabyhater@gmail.com.

A forum would actually be a great idea. I'm definitely considering it, now that I see how many people are like-minded. Also, I'll be posting at least two new articles this week, so for the loyal fans that wonder what happened, there's nothing to worry about.

Oh my god, I couldn't agree more. Seriously... EVERYBODY expects you to have kids, and if you don't, you're a bad person or something. It's really terrible! You sound like a really interesting guy. I look forward to reading more of what you have to sayl
